Job Description
Senior Credit Officer’s role is to facilitate the lending to our customers by assessing their creditworthiness and processing of relevant paperwork.
Senior Credit Officer’s responsibilities include preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios. He should have a good understanding of lending procedures and customer service experience.
Reports to
Deputy Branch Manager
Responsibility
- Review loan requests
- Assess customers’ financial status
- Evaluate creditworthiness and risks
- Contact customers to gather financial data and documentation
- Prepare loan applications
- Calculate financial ratios (e.g. credit scores and interest rates)
- Collect repayment from customers, if necessary
- Maintain updated records of loan applications
- Follow up with customers about loan renewals
- Monitor progress of existing loans
- Maintain good relationship with business partners and local authorities
- Participate in sales campaign
Requirements
- Proven work experience as Credit Officer, Senior Credit Officer or similar role
- Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products
- Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets
- Strong analytical skills
- Customer service experience
- Degree in Banking and Finance, Economics or related field
