At SAMBAT Finance, we are proud to announce that we have embarked on our first fully sponsored CSR school project in early 2023, an initiative that marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to supporting education and empowering communities. This project, undertaken in partnership with Taprum Kdol Primary School located beside the Tonle Sap River, aims to provide students with the tools, resources, and environment they need to succeed academically and reach their full potential.
Why Education Matters to Us
Education is the foundation of a brighter future, and we believe that every child, regardless of their background, should have access to quality learning. As part of our corporate social responsibility program, we have chosen to invest in education because it directly aligns with our core values of community empowerment, sustainability, and long-term societal development. Our goal is to bridge gaps in educational access, improve infrastructure, and create an environment where students can thrive.
What We Contributed
In collaboration with the school management and local community, we substantially funded the renovation of the school’s buildings, library, and playground facilities and rehabilitation of the school ground by planting trees. In addition, we built a well for the school to ensure long-term source of clean and safe water as the school has long relied on the harvesting of rainwater to support their daily activities.
We have organized our team-building activities and family events with participation of the local community at the school ground to inculcate the spirit of sharing and giving back to the society.
We have also donated pre-loved clothes and accessories, chairs, lockers, tables, and education storybooks collected by SAMBAT team under our CSR program as we strive to build a sustainable and equitable future for all Cambodians.
The Impact So Far
This project has already begun to make a noticeable difference in the lives of the students and their families. Early feedback from teachers and parents indicates that students are more engaged in their studies, with improved attendance and higher school enrolment rate for the children in the community. The newly renovated school facilities have created a conducive and safer environment for learning, and educational materials and tools have enabled students to improve learning.
We sincerely hope that the project has a ripple effect on the local community and inspires other businesses and organizations to get involved in supporting education.
Looking Ahead: Continuing the Legacy
This school project is just the beginning of our commitment to education. We are looking forward to expand the initiative to other schools, with a focus on assisting underprivileged students and further enhancing educational facilities. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and contribute to a better future.
